Privacy notice

This is a courtesy translation of the Italian notice. In case of any discrepancy, the Italian text prevails.

This notice explains which personal data the website valenzoro.com processes, why, for how long and what your rights are, under Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) and the Italian Personal Data Protection Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003, as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018).

1. Who processes your data

Data controller of the website

BMDNET S.r.l., Milan, Italy · VAT number and tax code 14398790965
Valenzoro is a trademark of BMDNET S.r.l. · For any question about your data: info@bmdnet.it

The workshop that makes and sells the jewellery

Diemme Gioielli DM srls · Artisan goldsmith's workshop
Via del Castagnone, 10/12 · 15048 Valenza (AL), Italy · VAT number 02523730063

When your request concerns a jewel (a bespoke design, the personalisation of a creation, the remaking of a family jewel, a quotation or a purchase), BMDNET S.r.l. passes on to Diemme Gioielli DM srls the data needed to reply to you. The workshop processes them as an independent controller in order to design, make and sell the jewel, and for the resulting tax and accounting obligations.

2. Which data we process

Browsing data

As with any website, the server that hosts it automatically records some technical data about each request: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type and operating system. These are needed to run the website and to protect it from abuse.

Visit statistics

The website counts page views to understand which content is of most interest, without cookies and without storing the IP address. So as not to count the same person twice on the same day, a non-reversible fingerprint is calculated; it changes every day, does not make it possible to trace who visited the website, and is deleted after nine days. Only aggregate figures remain (page views, general origin, device type).

Data you send us

If you write to us using the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide: full name, email, phone number (optional), what you would like, the occasion (optional) and the content of your message. If you sign up for the online boutique opening notice, we only process your email address. Please do not include unnecessary data and, in particular, health data or other special categories of data.

The website does not use third-party statistics or marketing tools.

3. Why we process them and on what legal basis

  • Replying to your requests and designing your jewel with you: steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in replying to you (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Letting you know when the online boutique opens, if you ask us to: your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We will write to you for that purpose only.
  • Running and protecting the website: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Visit statistics in aggregate form: legitimate interest in improving the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Complying with legal obligations, where applicable: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
  • Third-party statistics and marketing, only if they are activated in the future and only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 122 of the Italian Code): see section 8.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making and we do not sell it to anyone. If you would like to receive promotional communications, we will ask you separately.

4. Providing your data

Providing data in the form is optional, but without your name and email we cannot reply to you; without your email we cannot let you know when the boutique opens.

5. Who may process the data

The data are processed by BMDNET S.r.l. and by the persons it has authorised, and are recorded in BMDNET's management system; for requests concerning a jewel, also by Diemme Gioielli DM srls as set out in section 1. On behalf of the controller and as processors (Art. 28 GDPR), the providers of the necessary technical services, such as the website's hosting provider, may process them. We do not disclose the data to anyone else, unless required by law.

6. Transfers outside the European Union

Today the website's pages do not send data to third-party services: no external analytics services, social network buttons or fonts hosted by third parties (the fonts are served by the website itself). If Google or Meta services are activated in the future (section 8), data may be transferred to the United States to companies participating in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, on the basis of the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, or with the other safeguards provided for in Articles 44-49 GDPR.

7. How long we keep the data

  • Contact requests: for as long as needed to reply and to manage the relationship that follows, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless the law requires otherwise (for example, keeping the tax documents of a sale).
  • Boutique opening notice: until the notice is sent or until you ask us to remove you, and in any case no longer than 24 months.
  • Fingerprints for statistics: nine days. The aggregate figures contain no personal data.
  • Browsing data in the server logs: for the period set by the hosting provider for security purposes.

8. Cookies and similar tools

Today this website uses only technical tools that are essential for it to work and do not require consent:

NameTypePurposeDuration
bmdnet_ch_consent_given_v2, bmdnet_ch_consent_categories_v2Browser local storage (not cookies, and they do not reach us)Remembering that you have seen the banner and your choicesUntil you delete them from your browser

If in the future we introduce statistics tools (for example Google Analytics) or marketing tools (for example Meta Pixel or Google Ads), this notice will be updated with the list of services, providers and durations, and the banner will ask for your consent before they are activated. You will be able to accept everything, reject everything just as easily, or choose category by category. Until you give your consent, these tools remain switched off.

You can review your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page.

9. Your rights

At any time you may ask to access your data; to rectify or complete it; to erase it; to restrict its processing; to receive it in a commonly used format (portability); to object to processing based on legitimate interest; and to withdraw any consent given, without affecting processing carried out before (Articles 7 and 15-22 GDPR). We reply within one month of your request.

If you believe that the processing infringes the law, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it), or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.

10. How to exercise your rights

Write to info@bmdnet.it stating your request. For data concerning the making or purchase of a jewel, you may also contact Diemme Gioielli DM srls directly, at the address given in section 1.
